I did not know the benefits of alkaline eating (Alkaline Acid) until I was introduced to macrobiotics in 1979 in my country in Lebanon. After changing my diet to a more Alkaline diet and started gardening, and doing regular Yoga and Tennis, my health, well being and life took a whole different and beautiful turn.
I took a two week workshop in California with Herman and Cornelia Aihara in 1992. It was mainly about Alkaline and the benefits of keeping our bodies and blood PH correct. I purchased Herman AIhara’s book called “Acid Alkaline” to understand the subject more. I thought that book was the best ever written on Yin Yang or Acid Alkaline.
My husband and I were in London, UK two years ago after attending a wedding in the French Riviera and while walking around Selfridges, I saw a big poster with the word “ALKALINE” and some information on the subject. I was amazed to see that. It had finally hit the general public through food shops about the benefit of keeping our bodies healthy though an Alkaline diet. Some people take better care of their cars than their bodies. Our bodies and our cars have something in common – the better quality of fuel, the better we function.
